Tommy's Theme is an original piece written & performed by Tommy Sterner
Tommy was in his teens in the mid-nineties when I began writing my first novel, Madman Chronicles: The Warrior. He had a talent for drawing so I asked him to consider coming up with a front cover for the novel. He replied that he had heard me talking about it & already had a stipple piece that would fit it perfectly. He had to explain to me what a stipple was. I laughed & replied that no, I wanted art, not pencil points, an image that captured the spirit of the story. Some years later, when I was finished with the novel & seeking a publisher, I called Tommy up & asked him if he’d come up with any ideas for the cover. He said, “You never looked at my stipple.” I decided to humor him & look at his “stipple.” My five Children have taught me many lessons in life, to back up, open up & ignore my tendency to engage & disagree if I don’t understand something. They’re right much of the time, children. Tommy KO’d me with this one. His stipple perfectly portrays the spirit of The Warrior.
